In order to maintain the steady performance of the thermoelectric module, please follow the handling cautions below.

How to assemble

Please try to level the surface of the thermoelectric module and heat exchanger, and then use screws etc. to tighten little by little. We recommend M4 screw and apply 3kg*f, M3 screw and apply 2kg*f for torque for tightening screws in situation of using 2 screws to tighten 40*40mm thermoelectric module.

∗Failure will cause by over screwing or unbalanced load.

Storage cautions

For thermoelectric module storage, please avoid places that might cause leakage or condensation and places with direct sunlight. Appropriate storage temperature and humidity is 5~35°C and 20~70%RH. Also, after passing more than 1 year by regular storage, we recommend checking the solder ability of lead wire before using it.

Cautions on use

1.Please do not exert mechanical shock

If mechanical shock such as dropping is given, it might cause breakage (breach of ceramic plate, crack on internal semiconductor chip or solder connection, etc), so please take care in the handling of the product.
∗Take care to avoid collision with tools or material during assembly and transportation, and dropping during operation.

2.Regarding lead wire

Please do not pull lead the wire and apply strong force on the connection with thermoelectric module. Breaking of wire or peel-off of sealing around connection, etc. might cause failure and become a reason for low performance or damage.

3.To increase the efficiency

•If the flatness of the thermoelectric module and heat exchanger is bad, it cannot perform well. Please design to keep the flatness under ±2 /100mm as a goal.
•Applying at maximum voltage and current without not enough heat releasing will not result in good efficiency. We recommend applying at 70% of maximum voltage and current as a target. In addition, it will cause failure or damage if voltage and current greater than the rated value is applied.
•Please wipe away all the dust on the mounting surface of thermoelectric module.
•Please spread thermally-conductive silicone grease thinly on surfaces of thermoelectric module and heat exchanger.

4.Cautions on protection against humidity

The perimeter of thermoelectric module is sealed to protect humidity, but this is just for backup. If any moisture comes into inside of thermoelectric module for some reason, it will be the reason for performance degradation or damage. So, please seal the unit again for humidity protection after assembly.

5.Power supply

•Please control the power supply under 10% of ripple for thermoelectric module.
•The maximum voltage, current, heat absorption, and temperature difference are written in specification sheet of thermoelectric module. However, in reality, using 70% from there will pull out the best efficiency. For example, the thermoelectric module with Vmax=15.7 can be operated by 12V.
